In Part II, we see what happens to Christian's wife and children who were left behind in the City of Destruction. Through Christiana’s journey to the Celestial City, Bunyan retraces Christian’s footsteps to help his listeners understand the allegory at a deeper level. We see that none of us journeys alone. Many pilgrims have walked this path before us, and God has provided many to walk alongside us.
